How do I contact St. Johns?

Office Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-3pm
Phone: (847) 741-0184
Email: churchoffice@stjohnselgin.org

Give us a call or drop us an email any time. If it is after hours, we will respond as soon as we can.

What time are the services?

Divine Service is celebrated on Saturday night @ 5:30 PM and on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM with Bible study and Sunday school at 10:15am Sunday. Holy Communion is celebrated the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend of each month as well as on Festival Dates of the Church (e.g., Good Friday, Easter, Christmas, Epiphany)

What should I wear?

While many people would consider St. John’s to be a more traditional church, there is no dress code and all are welcome so just come as you are.  You will see people in suits and dresses sitting next to people in jeans and t-shirts.

Where should I park?

St. John’s is located in downtown Elgin just a few blocks east of the Fox River at 115 N Spring St., Elgin, IL 60120.  St. John’s owns its own parking deck directly across Spring Street from the church and school buildings. Wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance are located behind the church and can be accessed via the alley.

Do you offer a kids service or a nursery?

On the 2nd-5th Sundays at the 9:00 service, we have Children’s Church.  After the children’s message children ages 2-12 years old are dismissed to continue their own service which includes Bible stories, music, crafts, and snacks. Parents pick their children up after the 9:00 service. We also offer a nursery area, with an audio feed of the service, if parents feel the need to leave the service with a fussy child.

IN-PERSON WORSHIP: happens Saturday evenings at 5:30, and Sunday mornings at 9:00.

ONLINE WORSHIP: Subscribe to our YouTube channel or follow us on Facebook to be notified when a recording of our weekend service becomes available or check out our previous services.
