Support our Ministry
Your giving helps support our essential ministries and our community. But as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you — see that you excel in this act of grace also.
2 Corinthians 8:7
Why we give
God is generous and so he calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
We encourage all of who are part of the St. John’s Lutheran Church family to give—not out of obligation, but out of a spirit of worship. Your gifts allow St. John’s to better support God’s work that is being done in our midst, in our community, and in the world around us, and are especially appreciated and needed during this time of national crisis.

Volunteer
Please consider giving back to St. John’s through volunteering. We are always in need of people to greet our guests or to help read scripture at our weekly worship services, but even beyond our worship services help is needed for various events, service projects, and odd jobs throughout the year. There are big jobs, like teaching Sunday School, but also a number of little jobs that are equally important, such as folding our quarterly newsletters.
Scripture has shown us that we all have been given something to share so that God can use it to advance His kingdom. Imagine if a crowd of more than 5,000 may have gone home hungry had it not been for a young boy that brought his 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish to Jesus so a miracle could take place. If you have a desire to share the talents God has given you, reach out to the Pastor or the church office and let us know.
